Already Getting into Mischief
He also got his second tooth up top yesterday, so that puts us at 6! And yes, he has bitten me twice during feedings, and while they were obviously unintentional, that's another lesson we're working on.

Playtime
Charlie's 5th tooth broke through yesterday, and it's his first tooth on the top. I was surprised when he got all four on the bottom before he got any on top. It makes for a precious smile.
He's really getting the hang of crawling. Today he crawled over to Wesley who way lying on his bed in the living room. It was cute to watch Charlie looking and Wesley and crawling right over to him. Wesley wasn't as thrilled about it, though, and got up as soon as Charlie got near enough to touch him. Bella's a little more tolerant of Charlie's grabs, but we still need to figure out how to teach him to do "soft touches."

Feeding time
Charlie loves to eat, which isn't surprising since he is my son. :) For breakfast he has cereal and then nurses, for lunch he has fruit or vegetables followed by nursing, then he nurses again for an afternoon snack, has meat and/or veggies for dinner and nurses one last time before we get ready for bed. Some of his favorites lately have been papaya, banana and avocado (not all together, mind you!). I make most of his fruits and veggies for him, but we let the baby food companies do the meat. I still enjoy nursing him, and I'm so thankful that has been a good process for us. I look forward to it every day because it means that for that 15 minutes I just get to hold my son.
These pictures really remind me of what Dave looks like in his baby pictures!

Speaking of food, it's time for lunch! I think we'll have some more papaya today.

Watch Out World!
Last night, after much anticipation Charlie crawled for the first time. We're pretty excited but realize that we can't just sit him down in the floor and walk away anymore. The dogs have no idea what this means!

New Year's Resolution: Step 1
Well, I've got to start somewhere if I want to run a half marathon in 9 months, so I have signed up for a StrollerFit class. Charlie and I have been doing it for a month now. Sad to say, it's pretty much the first real exercise I've done in more than a year. We meet at a mall and do some great circuit workouts. But most of all, it's a lot of fun. I love that I can get a good workout and have fun with Charlie at the same time. The babies stay in the strollers almost the whole time, but we spend lots of time singing to them, tickling, and other silly stuff. After only a month, I can finally get my buckle back to my pre-pregnancy notch. I figure as soon as the weather starts getting nicer I may actually even venture out for a jog.

Playing "Hearts"
Mom brought us some Valentine heart decals that we put on our back door, and Charlie became obsessed with the big pink one when she showed them to him. Here he is giggling away as he tries to touch it:
He is still enamored with it. He giggles and reaches for it every time we go to the door to let the dogs out.

Super Bowl Sunday
Neither of our teams (Cowboys and Chargers) were in the Big Game, but that didn't stop us from showing our support of them while watching the Super Bowl. Dave and Charlie sported their LaDainian Tomlinson jerseys, and I wore my Cowboys shirt. As cool as it would have been to see perfection, we were glad the NFC team won. The Cowboys may have lost in their first round of the playoffs this year, but at least we lost to the Super Bowl Champs.
