Visiting Santa

Our HOA had pictures with Santa last night. We waited for our turn and then both boys froze when we walked up to Santa. Then Charlie darted off and we ended up playing at the playground (in their PJs). Charlie finally changed his mind and they spent some time with him. Charlie told him he wanted a Slinky Dog (from Toy Story), and Nate said he wanted a Luckie (a scuba diver toy that Charlie already has). Nate was really more interested in the cake and kept managing to find his way over to the cake table to stick his hands in it.

Thanksgiving Week

I spent most of this week sick with a sinus infection, so I'm just now getting around to blogging about our Thanksgiving week, which was our last official theme week of the fall.

Clean my hands Momma!

Ironically, I didn't take any pictures of our actual Thanksgiving celebration with the Keeneys.

Dinosaur World

For our big outing during Dinosaur Week we went to Dinosaur World in Glen Rose. The boys LOVED it. Dave had the day off, it was a special day for all four of us to go.

Charlie loved the binoculars I made for him from a paper towel roll.

Nate literally ran from dinosaur to dinosaur as evidenced here:

After Dinosaur World we went to Hico to Dave's favorite chocolate shop.

Then we stopped in Granbury on the way home and let the boys play on the beach for a little while.

Dinosaur Week

This was probably my favorite week that we've done. So much stuff that I'll break it up in two posts again.

Train Week

For train week we rode the Forest Park Miniature Railroad in Fort Worth with some friends.

This picture isn't great, but as we were going under this bridge, a real train was going over it. It sounded it's horn for us and the engineers waved. The boys (and I) got a kick out of it.

After the train we met up with some more friends and had lunch at the Botanical Gardens.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint
