Lost tooth!

Charlie lost his first tooth this month! Quite literally, too. I'm pretty sure he swallowed it while eating breakfast that morning.

November

The boys and I cheered for Dave while he ran a half marathon:

We went to the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit in Fort Worth with our CC group:

The boys actually got dressed up for a wedding:

We kicked off the Christmas season at Main Street Grapevine, one of my favorite things to do at Christmas time:

Finishing up October

Whew, October was busy! Thought I'd never finish blogging about it.

Dinosaur World

We made a return visit to Dinosaur World in Glen Rose in October. This time we also visited Dinosaur Valley State Park, where you can see real dinosaur footprints in the river bed. And anytime we head that direction we have to go on to Hico for chocolate and pie.

Charlie slipped in the river and got soaked. But if you ask him, it was the highlight of his day.

Between the State Fair of Texas and the football game, we had a busy visit from my family in October. Dad was even here on his birthday, so we got to celebrate with him.

Iowa St. @ TCU

When TCU joined the Big 12 Conference this year, I was excited that it meant that TCU would play Iowa State every season. I grew up going to Iowa State football games and Sue went to college there, so it was neat to see my two teams play (admittedly, though, I'll cheer for TCU every time). This year's game was in Fort Worth, and my parents and Sue and her kids came down for the game. As for the game itself, I'll just say 3 of us were disappointed and 6 of us claimed victory.
