October so far

Pumpkin Patch:

Dancing with the Chick-Fil-A cow at Harry & David after Baby Boot Camp.
They both couldn't get enough of him. When he went on break Nate was walking around the store saying, "Where'd the Chick-fil-a cow go?"

I think it's safe to say we're getting into Star Wars around here:

Family Week

Family week was pretty low key since we drove back from KC on Monday. So we spent the week talking about our family members and looking at our photo albums.

I planned one craft: a hand-print family tree:

We also made "Monkey Bread," one of the recipes my mom always makes when we go home.

Nate never left the sink after washing his hands to help with the Monkey Bread. He was content playing in there while Charlie and I labored.

Step Up for Down Syndrome

A couple weekends ago, the boys and I made another road trip up to Kansas City for the Step Up for Down Syndrome walk at Arrowhead Stadium. What a fun event and neat way to honor my nephew Calvin while raising funds for a great organization.

Apple Week

I'm a week behind in my blogging, so here is Apple Week from last week. I guess really it ended up just being "Apple Day" because the week was pretty jam packed with other things, but here are some pictures from our trip to an apple orchard:

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control.

Garden Week

I won't lie. There were definitely times this week that I missed sending Charlie off to school, but we still had a great week doing lots of garden things.

Making flowers:

even Momma made one, too

Going to the nursery to pick out a flower for them to plant:

Our visit to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens

Daddy had a meeting in Fort Worth, so we rode over together and then he met us for picnic lunch.

You cause the grass to grow for the livestock
and plants for man to cultivate,
that he may bring forth food from the earth.
