This second pregnancy has definitely been different from the first, mainly because I've been more distracted by a few little things like moving and chasing after Charlie. If someone asks me how far along I am, I have to stop and think, and sometimes can't even remember! But for the record, I'm 17 weeks and am due January 11. When I was pregnant with Charlie I could tell you exactly how many weeks and days I was, and then tell you "This week the baby is growing fingernails and is the size of a kiwi!" It's been a little more of an afterthought this time around, so I thought an update was in order.
Over the last week I've started to feel the tiny little flutters of "Peachy," and my clothes are starting to get pretty snug. So I'm starting to have more and more reminders that, oh yeah, I'm pregnant.
So far I've had two dreams about the baby. The first one was probably a month or two ago. I dreamed about the labor, which thankfully was short, and it was a boy who we named Robert. The second dream was just in the last week or so, and I was again in labor, however this time I gave birth standing while half asleep. It was a boy again, and we didn't know what to name him. When I was pregnant with Charlie I didn't dream about labor until the end of my pregnancy, and when I did, I would always blackout during the labor. I guess since my mind didn't know what labor was like, it couldn't dream about it, but this time it knows. My first dream about Charlie was a boy, so I'm curious if it will be a predictor that this baby will also be a boy, or if it's just because it's all I know.
We're not finding out the gender again. It was such an awesome experience with Charlie that we want to do it that way again. What can we say, we like surprises, but mainly I think we like surprising all of you. :) Which means we'll be keeping the names secret again, but that means nothing right now because we don't have a clue what the names will be. Quite different from Charlie, too, as we had our names picked out almost immediately when we got pregnant with him. I'm open to suggestions, leave comments below!
We have our next sonogram on Monday, so we'll have pictures of Peachy to share soon.

My pregnancy with Caroline was just the same. I usually knew how far I was but I never read those baby center emails. The nursery was done so late in the game and we did not have a name for sure until about 2 days before she was born and we knew it was a girl. It is so different the second time around because you have been there and done that and are not so uptight about everything.
