32 weeks

Here are the latest pictures of my growing belly. I don't think Charlie has any clue what's going on, but he has started saying "baby" when he sees pictures of babies, so I use those opportunities to at least attempt to explain that we'll be having a baby soon. He has definitely noticed my belly getting bigger when I hold him, because he'll be squirmy as if my belly is in the way of him getting close to me.

I feel like we're hitting the home stretch. I'm pretty sure the baby will be here before my due date, so I'm expecting it anytime the week of Jan. 4. So that gives us 7 more weeks! Obviously there isn't as much to prepare for the second child, but I'm realizing that I shouldn't put off the few things we need to do too much longer. We will be putting the baby in Charlie's room and moving him to a new room (still in a crib, though), so I think we may do that this weekend. I want to make sure there is plenty of distance between that change and the change of the baby coming. Then I can start officially "nesting" in the nursery getting everything ready for Peachy.

We still haven't settled on names, but I think we're getting closer. In the meantime, I'm still open to suggestions (even though I'll probably reject them all, as Sue can attest to).

I'm feeling pretty good. I feel the baby move a lot, the movements feel different than I remember Charlie's feeling. I'm definitely getting more uncomfortable by the day, and have had zero energy. Most afternoons I get a good nap while Charlie naps.

I haven't had anymore dreams about the baby, but I think I may have last night. I don't remember anything about the dream, but I woke up feeling all warm and fuzzy with the baby on my mind.

And for the record, Dave thinks it's a girl, and I think it's a boy. At least one of us will be right. ;)
