This summer and fall solidified the Keeney's as a baseball family. The boys loved watching the Rangers all summer long, and this fall they both played in our town's little league. Nate played for the A's and had Dave as one of his assistant coaches. Unfortunately, he broke his collarbone midseason, so he wasn't able to play in the last four games. Charlie played his third season with the Rangers, and it was so fun to see how much those boys are progressing. We're grateful for such a great team to be a part of.
After the season ended, Charlie's team had a parents vs. kids game. Parents had to use their son's glove, had to swing the bat with only one had and could only fast-walk to the bases. The kids won 9-5, and Charlie caught one of my pop flies to get me out. I was too proud of him to be disappointed. :)
