We had our regular check up with our doctor yesterday and everything remains A-OK. For those of you into numbers, my weight gain is just a bit over 10 lbs (7 of which were all in the last month!) and I got my first tummy measurement which was 22-23 cm. We got to hear the heartbeat again, which is always so special. Next appointment is at the end of the month for a normal checkup and another ultrasound.
So far we're still very content not knowing the gender. Some friends who just had a baby and didn't know the gender have told us that it was so worth the wait. I still don't really have any instinct as to what it is, but I've realized I'm slightly leaning toward wanting a girl, but I think for no other reason than I just really like our name for a girl. :)
I'm feeling the baby a lot now, and Dave has been able to feel a few kicks. But what I actually like best is when I can just feel its body from the outside. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and could feel it sticking practically straight out of the middle of my belly. Dave had briefly woken up at the same time, so he was able to feel it, too. I think it's so special to feel its body that way because its as close as we can get to holding it at this point.
I've been getting more and more excited now that we've passed the half-way point. In fact Teeny Weeny Keeney is due 4 months from today.
