I love this picture of Wesley because it looks like he's smiling. It makes me so happy that our dogs have a backyard big enough for them to run and play. We spend most evenings out there attempting to play fetch, but mainly chasing them around and watching them (mainly Wesley) run, run, run. At our old house, Dave was very good about walking them twice a day, and they would ask for that second walk if we were slow to get them out. But now they have not asked for a second walk once since we've been here. I love that they have more room both in and out of the house to run around.

Best Buddies?
Charlie has taken quite an interest in Wesley, and, surprisingly, Wesley is relatively tolerant of it. Charlie likes to tackle Wesley when he's laying down and will chase him around trying to give him bear hugs. While Wesley puts up with it, you can tell he doesn't exactly like it, so we're trying to teach Charlie the meaning of "gentle" and "soft touches," and teach Wesley the meaning of "run away." But we are so thankful our dogs are good with Charlie. If Bella sees Charlie coming, she just runs away.
