Three weeks

Charlie turned three weeks old on Thursday, and already it feels like the time is flying and he's growing so quickly. He's having a lot more awake time, so we're trying to figure out how to keep a three-week-old occupied. He loves his swing and is starting to get a lot more comfortable in his bouncy seat. He's starting to look at the toys hanging from the bouncy seat. He usually likes tummy time, too. But mostly, he just likes being held. He's never really taken to a pacifier, which in general is good, but it sure would be nice if he'd take one every once and a while when he's fussy. But he's perfectly content sucking on one of our fingers.

Dave and I are starting to crave a routine, but aren't quite sure how to implement one yet. Most nights he still sleeps pretty well (unfortunately we have not had any repeats of 8 hours), but we've also had a few rough nights when he just doesn't want to go to sleep or he wants to get up and play at midnight.

He does really well when we take him out and about. He's been out to lunch a few times, and has run a few errands with us, too. We've even put him in the sling for a couple walks with the dogs, too.

It seems like he's getting so big. Dave swears Charlie is bigger every time he goes to get him out of his crib.
