Day 1 in the books

Well we got through our first day without Gretchen pretty well. Our first point of business after dropping her at the airport was making a trip to the horse track for Preakness Day. They had a couple of bounce houses up for the kids and we definitely took advantage. As is the tradition at Lone Star Park, the winning jockey autographs a pair of goggles after entering the winner's circle and gives them to one lucky fan. Charlie and Nate both came up winners. Nate got his after the 3rd race won by Perfectly Wicked and Charlie got his after the 4th race won by In the Band. It turned into a warm day so we drank plenty of water. I think I did my job and had both of them fall asleep on the ride home.
